Watermelon Mint Smoothie
A highly refreshing smoothie for the preparation of which you need only 5 minutes and a blender. Watermelon quenches thirst not only on hot days. You can enrich the smoothie with strawberries and lemon for an extra boost of antioxidant vitamins.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg ripe watermelon
- 200 g strawberries
- 1 bunch of mint
- juice from 1/2 a lemon
- 1 tbsp xylitol / 1 tbsp honey
- A few ice cubes
Rinse all the fruits thoroughly, remove strawberry stems and watermelon seeds. Put all the fruits into a tall container, add lemon juice, a few ice cubes and a small bunch of mint leaves.
Blend until frothy. If the smoothie seems too sour, add 1 tablespoon of xylitol or honey, blend again.
Serve with fresh mint leaves.
Good to know! The smoothie can be also served as a light hot day cocktail. Just add a glass of white wine. Enjoy!
